Frequently Asked Questions

What is the shelf life of your cakes?

All of our cakes and desserts are best eaten on the day of collection/delivery so that you can enjoy them at their best. We do not add any preservatives so it’s best to finish it as soon as you can. If not, leftovers can be kept for up to 2-3 days (including the day of collection), in an airtight container.

How many days in advance do I need to place an order and is there a cut off time?

Please order at least 1 business day before your desired delivery date. The deadline for ordering is 3:00 pm the day before your desired delivery date. This does not apply on Sundays and Mondays. Orders placed on Sunday or Monday must be placed by 3:00 pm on Friday. Please contact us at least 2 business days in advance for large occassions.

How long can I keep a butter cream cake out of the fridge? How do I store them?

Our butter cream cake is best enjoyed at room temperature. It is advisable to remove it from the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours before consuming. This is so that the butter cream and cake can be softened before cutting. Can be stored at room temperature for up to 4 hours. The remaining can be stored in a closed container for up to 2-3 days (including pickup days).

Do you accept returns?

Given the perishable nature of our cakes, we aren’t able to accept returns. If you encountered an issue with your order, please email myorder@bakebirds.com and let us know what’s going on. We will do our best to make it right.
